In 2016 Ben Robinson founder of (Kendal Calling and Bluedot Festival) met with his brother Simon to play some music for fun, one of them hadn’t played in 10 years the other had played so much he wasn’t sure if he still wanted to.

Some cool bass and drum groves came out of those jams and the brothers booked some studio time and invited friends and old band mates to drop by and play along, no rehearsals, no pressure, just fun. From those sessions Hello Cosmos was born. In the agreement that music should always be for fun and lived in the moment.

Originally launched to release the music of Hello Cosmos, Cosmic Glue was extended to work with the community of artists that grew from the Hello Cosmos sessions and collaborations. 

In just a few short years Cosmic Glue has released music gaining support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Louder Than War, Apple Music and more, from artists including Hello Cosmos, Deathretro, Seven Seals, and Vacant Weekend, in addition to a broad range of international collaborators. 

Cosmic Glue has also worked alongside artists to secure live dates at venues and festivals including Live At Leeds, Kendal Calling, Bluedot, Liverpool’s Sound City and more. Most recently cultivating in the Cosmic Glue takeovers at Bluedot and Kendal Calling 2023.

In addition to supporting artists with distribution, PR and live performance, Cosmic Glue has established a physical space for creative collaboration, taking residency in Stockport’s Welkin Mill.
